SAFETY PRECAUTIONS I AM TAKING AT THE CLINIC. How to ensure your safety?
As most of you know, Oregon Governor Kate Brown enacted increased safety measures in response to the substantial increase in viral spread in Oregon. This included, among other things, restricting indoor businesses that pose a risk for infectious spread. But not only was physical therapy and other medical treatments not included in this list, Governor Brown singled out PT and other medical offices as being safe and, seemingly, largely absent of any spreading event.
My clinic is the safest possible environment for one-on-one medical care.
CHECK IN PROCEDURE
o No Crowded Waiting Rooms – you will be alone when you arrive and when you leave.
o Stop the Spread - We are asking that patients to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entry to building and to kindly use your mask.
o Wellness Screen – I am screening all patients and guests entering the clinic for COVID-related symptoms, recent travel or potential exposure.
o Sign-in Sheets - none
o Pens- Physical Therapist will manage used and unused pens for patients to sign receipts & consent forms.
o Payment Methods – credit, cash or check.
o Clients can insert or swipe credit cards themselves. If the PT takes payment, credit cards will be sanitized before handing back to the patient.
o We ask that all clients wash their hands before and after their therapy session.
o Your Physical Therapist will clean all equipment, tables, chairs, etc. before and after each client use.
o Hand sanitizer is available and encouraged to be used.
o When scheduling clients, I am staggering appointments 15 to 30 minutes apart to prevent overlap.
o I am performing wellness screens (Covid symtoms) prior to each treatment and temperature checks.
